About

I was born and raised in Iowa where I started playing the cello at the age of 10. I was blessed to have wonderful music teachers along the way, and ultimately decided to study music education at the University of Northern Iowa.

I have played in the North Iowa Symphony Orchestra, University of Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra, Waterloo Cedar Falls Symphony, Fort Dodge Area Symphony, the Des Moines Community Orchestra, and the Iowa-based Encore String Quartet. I am currently a member of the Kettle Moraine Symphony in West Bend. I play in a variety of smaller ensembles including a string quartet, piano trio and cello trio. I am an active church musician playing bass guitar and cello in contemporary and traditional worship services.

When I am not playing music, I am often working on graphic design projects for various organizations. My husband and I have two children in Slinger Schools and a small dog, Maggie, who is usually eager to greet cello students. Weekends often include watching my kids' soccer matches and making trips to the local ski hill.
